Old Alts also tasted defeat in a somewhat fractious match against Prestbury at Crossford Bridge. With both teams seeing chances go begging in the first half, it was Prestbury who took the lead early in the second half; Chris Powell heading home a floated free kick. Powell scored again ten minutes later showing real determination to chase down an Alts defender and see the ball ricochet from the challenge past the keeper. Dave Howard pulled a goal back with twenty five minutes remaining to make it 2-1 but Prestbury held out to go above FC Woodford and into second in the table.
