Cheadle Hulme 'Got out of jail'
Cheadle Hulme, by their own admission, played their ‘get out of jail free card against an unlucky Old Alts A side to go above FC Flyers and into second place. Trailing 3-2 with ten minutes to go they managed to steal all three points with an equaliser from Mark Alcock and a last minute winner from Mike Hooley who ran through a desperate Alts defence to chip the ball over the keeper and into the net. Earlier goals from Dale Peters and a brace from Dave Howard had put the visitors in charge and looking liker sealing a deserved victory but an own goal and a Rob Duignan strike kept Cheadle in touch before the dramatic finale.
